Daily Devotional: Tuesday, Nov 3
Speaker: Ben Sigman Theme: Momentum Reality Weekend Music links on iTunes: Glorious One by Marcus Jones; All Over the World by Matt Redman; For Who You Are by Hillsong; Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) by Chris Tomlin Read: Isaiah 6:8; Matthew 4:18-25 Proverbs Challenge Chapter of the Day: Proverbs 27 Think: In the Book of Isaiah, the Lord asks: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" And then we read Isaiah's ready response: "Here am I! Send me" (Isaiah 6:8). We were given the chance this weekend to respond much like Isaiah did to a similar kind of challenge... Will you say yes to God even before knowing what His question might be? God is not seeking only the most qualified or talented, but He is seeking hearts that are surrendered to Him. He is looking for those who are available, open to be used by Him...those willing to say yes - no matter what the question! When Jesus said "Come, follow Me" the 12 men who followed witnessed Jesus do amazing things - heal the sick, raise the dead, teach the masses, multiply food to feed thousands, cast out demons, and they encountered Jesus Himself after He was resurrected from the dead. It's hard to even imagine all they experienced! Surely it was a wild, amazing, thrilling ride! And it all started with "Yes!" To those of us who say "Whatever the question God, my answer is yes!" God will show Himself, and you too will be in for the ride of your life! It's not too late if you weren't among the hundreds of people at Timberlake who stepped up with a resounding "Yes!" Tell the Lord today you're on board, too! Then let's listen for what He has for us and go change the world - together. Do: Set aside some time today specifically to just listen to God. Wait for Him to reveal what He's asking of you as you continue moving forward in your faith. Then trust Him and obey! Pray: God I trust you and I choose this day to step out in faith. Father I am available for whatever it is You ask of me. Here I am Lord, send me! Amen.
