Read: Isaiah 40:12-14; Hebrews 11:6 Think: So often we expect much less from God than He is able to deliver. However once we see God for who He is (see yesterday's eDevotional), we are left with the next big question: Will I trust Him? It comes down to faith... Faith not just for what I can receive, but faith to acknowledge and accept who God is and expect His perfect will to be carried out for me. Once I fully take hold of the fact that God is my Father, that He is all powerful and that He loves me, I can rest in the fact there is no situation in life, real or imagined, that God isn't willing and able to help me. In fact I can expect it! I have wasted so much time trying to figure out the why of my circumstances or the why behind God working the way He chooses - only to realize again I may never fully understand it all this side of heaven. But at the same time reconfirming that I can trust in Jesus. I can expect His guidance and direction, and I can know He will give His very best for my life. Do: With each question or struggle today reaffirm that you can trust God to do what's best. Say it out loud if you need to, pray it and believe it! Pray: God, you are good and I you are worthy of my trust. I once again put my faith in you. Help me during the times I doubt or expect too little. Amen.
