Think: There's nothing I love better than a good deal. In fact I rarely buy something unless it's on sale or I'm sure it's the best price out there. There is one type of deal I really dislike though... the "you only have 15 minutes to respond"..."we only have two left so its now or never" kinds of deals.

As we've been talking about God and our expectations, I wonder if somewhere along the way (maybe through wrong teaching or just faulty thinking) we believe that kind of bad deal principle somehow applies to God - the "deal" he offers of provision/blessing/grace etc. is a limited time offer or runs out.

But what does Jesus say? "Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst." (John 4:14) Did you catch that ‘never'? That's never, as not ever, unlimited, forever! We bring in our trouble, our sin, our messes, our questions and God gives us hope, healing, salvation and purpose. You won't find many deals like that.

The woman at the well was given the "water" that would soothe her parched life and give her something more -eternal life ultimately. And it's a continuing satisfaction, not a one time trip to the well. Jesus offers the same gift to you and to me, no catches, no limits, and no expiration date. We can expect it and count on it - we have the 100% satisfaction guarantee of the Father in Heaven.

Do: Trust that God's provision does not run out. Whatever you have done, wherever you have failed doesn't count you out. You can expect just what He promises.

Pray: God, there are times I feel like I have used up your grace or am beyond your promise...  But I look to your Word and see that your well never runs dry.  I thank you that once again, I can come to you for your help, your forgiveness, and your grace. Amen.
