Think: With the new law regarding driving while on the phone I have become more aware of what people are doing while driving. How often do we see someone in traffic that seems to think they can’t be seen by anyone when inside their car? Whether it is us or another driver the assumption is that no one else can see or be affected by the actions in the car…. so putting on makeup, talking on a cell phone, reading books etc all become acceptable. Sadly it is not the case and others ARE affected by our driving, good or bad, and distractions we perform while driving have many consequences. Today Pastor Ben talked about following God and what to teach our kids. For some that may feel like a moot point if you do not have children but like those drivers what we do is seen by others even if we are not aware of it. As my children have grown up they have learned from not only their parents but others who are part of our lives. You may not feel you have an influence over children but we all have people in our lives that are affected by how we live and follow God.
Pray: Dear Father thank you that you give us fellowship with others to not only teach us how to live for you but to encourage others in their journey. Please help us to be more aware of who is around us and how our actions affect others even in our busiest times. Lord, please bless those who are there at the right time to influence our lives. The eDevotional is written each week by a team of volunteers from Timberlake Church. | ||||||
