Speaker: Rick Enloe Theme: The Great Comeback Weekend Music links on iTunes: All Over the World by Matt Redman; My Savior Lives by New Life Worship; You'll Come by Hillsong United; To the Ends of the Earth by Hillsong. Read: Joel 2:18-32 Think: As we think about making a comeback a little more today, I’m sure there are some of us that want that comeback but it just doesn’t seem to be happening, and you’re ready to just throw in the towel and call it a day. But God wants you to say Don’t give up! Not one of us faces this life without going through a difficult, life-altering, subduing experience - Something that knocks us off our axis, that turns our life upside down. Divorce, end of a career, a health threat, death of someone we love deeply, a terrible decision of our own making… But hear this: God promises He will restore that what was taken. Be tenacious in your faith, let God work in His way and in His timing in your life and don’t discount what God is able to accomplish!!! Out of the ashes God will allow you to rise again! God will restore, God will do what only HE can do! You need God for the comeback! Don’t let anyone discount you or Him - for nothing (yes, we mean NOTHING) is beyond Him, nothing is too difficult for the Lord! But it requires you to trust Him again, believe in Him again! Can you do that? Can you find that mustard seed of faith and work through the failure, stand up to the person who wronged you, fight the disease or hurt? God is going to orchestrate a comeback a second chance and new start! And hearing Pastor Rick’s message was for you - take heart, there’s hope! We serve a God of the comeback. The God who is all-powerful, who is all-knowing, a God who is able to do the very thing you think is impossible. Trust Him and allow Him to work. How does that happen? By totally completely surrendering to Him and doing whatever it is He asks you to do - no matter how uncomfortable, or how hard it may seem. Call on the name of the Lord and listen for His voice. Do: Get back up, dust yourself off, put Jesus in your sights and watch expectantly for what only HE can do! Pray: Today Lord, I choose again to believe and to trust You and your promises. I surrender to Your will and I am moving ahead in faith and in the power of your Spirit. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
