Think: We’d be missing out if we didn’t finish up this week of devotionals without talking about the greatest comeback of all time - no it’s not that World Series last inning grand slam or the rocker who made it out of retirement to go platinum with a new album. You know where we‘re going here, the greatest comeback of all time was the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Go back and read the account of the crucifixion of Christ, his death, three days in a tomb, and His miraculous resurrection from death to life!!!

Isn’t it crazy though how the best comeback story of all time can become, well, so familiar its mundane. Instead of bringing us to our feet in applause it brings on a resounding “oh yeah, that… (yawn) heard about that story a few times… hmmm, what’s on TV?” Not exactly inspired.

But then there are times when we engage both heart and soul and really remember the story, absorb its eternity-changing significance and its then that we feel like shouting and cheering for the greatest comeback ever!

Our enthusiasm for the Lord’s victory over sin and death keeps us inspired and full of faith. The new series coming up at Timberlake will have Pastor Ben teaching about some of the markers we can take part in that remind us again of the glorious work of Jesus. Why is it so important? Because the power that raised the Son of God and gave Him victory over sin and death is still available to us today! So that comeback you need, trust the God of the Universe! He orchestrated the greatest comeback of all time and hasn’t run out of love for you or power to help that become a reality!

Pray: Father, I remember again what a miracle it is that you sent your Son to die for my sin and then raised Him again to life! I praise You and thank You! I stand in awe of who You are and what You’ve accomplished. All glory and honor to Your Name! Amen.
