Speaker: John HansenTheme: The Kingdom of God Is... Weekend Music links on iTunes: All Over the World - Matt Redman, Time Has Come - Hillsong, From the Inside Out - Hillsong, Cannons - Phil Wickham Read: Psalm 103:2-8
Think: Pastor John reminded us this weekend that as children of God, we have benefits. Psalm 103:2-8 lists some of those benefits: forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, mercy, satisfaction, vigorous life, justice, His Word, mercy and grace. As we read David’s song we imagine that he has come through some great deliverance and it seems that in the midst of his trouble he may have forgotten the Lord’s benefits as he reminds himself here.
Pastor John told us to enjoy the benefits of God; David tells us we need to remember them.
Do: Write this list of God’s benefits on a piece of paper and tape it to the mirror in your bathroom. Read it out loud in the morning, “Today Lord, I will enjoy Your benefits of forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, mercy, satisfaction, vigorous life, justice, Your word, mercy and grace”. Pray: Father, thank you for all Your benefits. Help me remember, celebrate and enjoy them everyday, in Jesus’ name. Amen The eDevotional is written each week by a team of volunteers from Timberlake Church. |
