Read: John 3:16; John 14:23; Ephesians 3:17b-19
Think: As a Christian, our faith, our belief system, and how we live our life is all based on love. Love is the reason God created us, and the reason why he sent his son to the cross on our behalf, as stated in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
If you are a believer and have given your heart to the Lord, then this incredible love has become the foundation of your life, for as he said, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him.” (John 14:23)
Know anew today how great your life can be because of your love for Christ as seen here in Ephesians 3:17 – 19, “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
What are you doing today to accept God’s free gift of love? If you have received that gift, what are you doing to give that gift to others?
Do: The best thing about God’s gift of eternal life is that it’s free. In today’s economy, everyone is open to something free. Share this incredible, free, life-changing gift with someone today. If this is your first opportunity to accept Christ as your personal savior, why wait till tomorrow on what you can do today?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you that you Wage Love into my heart, and allow me to share God’s gift of eternal life with others in my life today. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
