ThinkPraise and worship are such a great part of God’s plan for our life in Him and Timberlake provides us all, that wonderful opportunity every weekend. 2 Chronicles 28 paints us the picture “So all the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded… So they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped”.

This past weekend Pastor Ben asked is Jesus enough? The worship team sang the beautiful Brooke Fraser song “None but Jesus”.

In the chaos, in confusion

I know You're Sovereign still

In the moment of my weakness

You give me grace to do Your will

There is no one else for me

None but Jesus

Crucified to set me free

Now I live to bring Him praise

Praise and worship calms our minds, (see Isaiah 61:3) opens our hearts and prepares us to hear and receive the word of God. It’s more than great music; it’s part of God’s way for us to draw near to Him.

Do: Arrive early for church and fully participate in the worship. Listen and apply the words of the songs to your life and let the Holy Spirit move you closer to God.

Pray: Father, thank you for your gifts of praise and worship. Help me to open these gifts and use in my life everyday. Amen.

The eDevotional is written each week by a team of volunteers from Timberlake Church.
