Think: Hmmm… Evidently, a lot of people would like to have a fresh start in life. A couple days ago I typed the phrase “fresh start” into Bing and searched the Internet. It brought up 94,600,000 links! Seems a lot of people would like a fresh start. And some of them live right in your neighborhood, work in the office beside you, and have kids on your kid’s soccer team. They think, “I’ve blown it, I’ve messed up, I’ve really made a mess of things in my life. I’d like a fresh start.” And you know just how to give them what they so desire!

Jesus is in the business of giving people a fresh start. The apostle Peter says, “Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life, and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven” (1 Peter 1:3-4 MSG). And we as Christ followers get the pleasure of sharing that good news.

Do: Don’t be afraid or nervous to tell people about how their life can be changed… about how there is a God in heaven that loves them, and there is a Savior named Jesus who wants to give them that fresh start. Remember when we are brave enough to share our faith in Christ, the gift they receive is a past that is forgiven, a purpose for life, and a home in heaven. What a deal! Their past, present, and future are taken care of as they put their trust in Jesus. A fresh start!

“Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 1:30 MSG).

Pray: Lord, I know so many people in need of the fresh start You offer. Help me to find the time and space to share with them your amazing plan and purpose for their life here and for eternity in heaven. Amen.
