Theme: Knowing God's Will

Read:   I Peter 2:9-15; John 14:1-4

Think: “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”  Romans 10:17

There is no defensible argument to prove that Christianity is TRUTH. I cannot think of one case where Jesus argued a person into Heaven. He knew better. 

Faith is hearing with our heart, it is putting our trust in something/someone we cannot see and at best can only begin to understand.  Yet it is God’s Providential Will that “through Him (Jesus Christ) all men might believe.”  (John 1:7)

Do you have a “pre-believer” in your life?  Listen twice as much as you speak with them. Fact……..God gave us two ears and only one mouth.  Be honest, humble and a hearer of what is being communicated. God does not need us to defend Him. He needs us to live for Him. 

Amazing plan:  God’s strategy is for all to come to know Him by exponential growth. It is the original pyramid marketing model. It started with ONE who told a friend and that one told friends who told friends and on and on and on.  There is still only ONE on the top rung, yet even after a couple thousand years there is still room for many, many more to get in on the deal of an eternal lifetime!  The buy in is free---dividends frequent, and comes with a guaranteed great return in the future.  (“I am going away and I am coming back to you”  John 14:28)

Will you and I choose to show up and take part so we then can live our lives with knowledge that will help us daily answer the question, What is the wisest thing to do?

Prayer: Thank you dear Lord, for your TRUTH.  May I spend time with you today and be reminded that You are the giver of wisdom. Be my guide in all I say and do.  AMEN.
